Elaine Tait

Head of Foresight

Elaine empowers her clients to envision a better, brighter future – and their role in it. She helped define Upland’s proprietary Disruptor ID offering and build the firm’s overall approach to growth. With formal Futurist training, Elaine infuses her passion and expertise into shaping client Foresight efforts. The Capital Flow assessments she leads help to enlighten and infuse confidence in clients, while also  signaling and supporting key movements in Strategic Planning and Innovation work.

Living on a shared, 88-acre farming community in Leelanau County, Michigan, Elaine finds inspiration in the outdoors. Whether roaming the farm, skiing with her family, running or hiking a favorite trail, or just enjoying the view from her favorite beach, she is thankful for all the goodness that comes from fresh air, water, and, of course, snow (so much snow). Elaine aims to enhance and protect that goodness in her work at Upland.

“I live for the moments of surprise and wonder. Often they come from a single, powerful facial expression emanating from a brilliant and informed leader who, at once, is recognizably impacted by the unexpected we uncover and reveal in our Disruptor ID report.”
